The first single from the new album will be "Welcome to the BLack Parade" and will be realsed, before the album, and should be on the radio late to mid september.

"Welcome to the BLack Parade" video was shot in early august and was directed by Sam Bayer. Both Gerard and Bob were injured on set.

Gerard has confimed that the new album will no longer be called "The Rise and Fall of My Chemical Romance"
"We're working on stuff, just getting it together and making demos," Cavallo told MTV News. "And from what we've got so far, I think the record is going to be awesome. The songs are wicked. There's some really dark stuff and some touches of Queen and The Doors. And there's some really experimental parts that sound a bit like System Of A Down. But all of that is mixed with a big shot of My Chemical Romance."

"The best way to describe this record is way more dramatic, way more theatrical, completely over the top, borderline psychotic," he [Gerard ] said. "It's the most pure, intense thing we've ever been involved in. We just didn't mess around at all. To be honest with you, it felt like we did at the beginning when we did [our first record], that's the kind of intensity that we got."

"It's been the experience of our dreams," he [gerard] said. " It felt like we got to reinvent the wheel for ourselves. We weren't afraid to do anything."
